The temple was designed by BAPS swamis and Virendra Trivedi. He is a member of the Sompura family. Constructors built the entire Akshardham temple from Rajasthani pink sandstone and Italian Carrara marble. The architecture of Akshardham temple was inspired by the Māru-Gurjara architecture style.
